Our client, the Asa Wright Nature Centre, a non-profit organization, is seeking a suitably qualified professional for the role of Trust Officer to provide services to its Board of Management.

TRUST OFFICER (1-Year Contract)

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Master’s in Environmental Management, Science, Sustainability, or related field
  • 5+ years of project coordination experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Administrative experience (petty cash, invoicing, vendor management, documentation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve
  • Fit for forested environments and hilly trails
  • Driver’s license and personal vehicle

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support and advance scientific research, conservation, sustainable agriculture and environmental education on Asa Wright Nature Centre (AWNC) lands through stakeholder and community engagement and facilitation of users
  • Protected land management of AWNC lands which includes periodic monitoring of AWNC trails and lands, biodiversity monitoring and incident investigations
  • Manage the Simla Field Research Station – bookings, liaising with caretaker on upkeep and maintenance
  • Manage the concession agreement with the operator of the ecolodge
  • Manage social media platforms and website as environmental education platforms for the Trust
  • Undertake administrative responsibilities which can include petty cash management, vendors management, records keeping and documentation control, development of standard operating procedures, bills payment etc.
  • Support the Board of Management’s bimonthly meetings and Annual General Meeting
  • Other services as required by the Board of Management
