Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ocho Rios for a Trigeneration Manager. The Trigeneration Manager will be responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance of the trigeneration plant, optimizing processes for generating electricity, heat, and cooling. Ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards, environmental regulations, and industrial safety.

The suitable candidate should possess the following:

Duties & Requirements:

• Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering.
• Proficiency in trigeneration systems and energy management.
• Experience with monitoring and control software (e.g., SCADA or others).
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and industrial safety.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving orientation.
• Operation and Monitoring:
  • Supervise daily operations of electricity, heat, and cooling generation systems.
  • Manage gas supplies for trigeneration operations.
  • Coordinate and optimize energy dispatch according to client or facility consumption needs.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
  • Design and execute preventive maintenance programs for key equipment such as engines, generators, heat exchangers, chillers, and auxiliary systems.
  • Diagnose technical failures and coordinate necessary repairs, minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor oil analysis for engines and quality of hot and chilled water.
• Energy Management:
  • Evaluate and report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as energy efficiency, fuel consumption, and emissions.
  • Propose and implement technological or process improvements to optimize plant performance.
• Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to gas emissions and waste management.
  • Implement and supervise industrial safety and occupational health protocols.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify regulatory compliance.
• Administrative Management:
  • Prepare technical and financial reports on plant performance.
  • Plan and manage the budget assigned for operations and maintenance.
• Technical Support and Training:
  • Provide technical support to operational staff and resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Design and implement training programs for the operational team on equipment handling and safety protocols.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Propose solutions to integrate renewable energy sources into the trigeneration system when feasible.

Experience and Qualification:

• At least five (5) years’ work experience in the same or a similar capacity
• Degree in Energy Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or related field
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
