Transmission & Distribution System Coordinator (Relocation to Cayman Islands)

This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to The Cayman Islands. All relocation costs will be covered by the client.

Job summary:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) System Coordinator to oversee operations within a central control room. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe management of the T&D system, coordinating switching operations, and maintaining real-time communication across the network.

Job responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Transmission & Distribution system to ensure proper distribution connectivity is maintained during working hours.
• Identify and report unusual system conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate and control switching operations across the T&D network.
• Maintain active communication regarding energy control procedures, including live line work permits, substation access, and equipment clearances.
• Accurately log all system events and operations.
• Manage outage events by:

I. Verifying and monitoring connectivity between Outage Management System (OMS) software suites.

II. Communicating with customers regarding outage issues and dispatching crews as needed.

III. Analyzing outage data and distributing relevant information to stakeholders.

• Ensure data entry and verification of system reliability indices.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• A two-year technical diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• A minimum of five years of experience in T&D operations.
• Additional technical training in T&D systems or equivalent is preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Outage Dispatch, and call center systems.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams effectively.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to ensure smooth system operations.
