Merchandising Team Leader
JOB SUMMARY:
The Trade Market Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to optimize product distribution, visibility, and sales performance across retail and wholesale channels. This role will work closely with sales, brand, and trade market teams to drive market share growth and ensure that key FMCG products are effectively positioned to meet consumer demand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement trade marketing plans to support product sales and brand positioning.
- Identify key growth opportunities in various trade channels (supermarkets, wholesalers, pharmacies, convenience stores, etc.).
- Ensure trade marketing strategies align with overall company objectives and brand priorities.
2. Retail & Channel Management:
- Strengthen relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and wholesalers.
- Optimize product placement and promotional activities to drive sales.
- Implement category management strategies to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement.
3. Promotion & Merchandising:
- Plan and execute trade promotions, in-store activations, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage the development and distribution of Point-of-Sale (POS) materials such as shelf talkers, display
- stands, and promotional banners.
- Ensure merchandising execution aligns with brand guidelines and retailer requirements.
4. Sales Support & Training:
- Work closely with the Sales Team to provide insights and materials that improve sales effectiveness.
- Train sales representatives and retail partners on product benefits and trade promotions.
- Support the Key Account Managers with data-driven recommendations for trade negotiations.
5. Market Research & Performance Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, competitor strategies, and industry trends.
- Analyze sales data and campaign performance to optimize future trade marketing efforts.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years similar experience in a FMCG Company.
- Fluent in Spanish would be an asset
