 Technology Solutions Officer

 Purpose of the Role

Support organizational objectives through the utilization of analytical, problem-solving and communication skills to enable efficiency and effectiveness of technology solutions for the end-users.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Desktop productivity support,
  • Provide operational support on an as scheduled basis for core ERP processing functions Business process improvement,
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software, etc.,
  • Provide Business Intelligence reporting and training users on applicable tools,
  • Support Business Continuity Planning and operations,
  • Post software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution,
  • Apply diagnostic efficiencies to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Support and Manage Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)

  • Proven understanding of technological environments and their applicability to business,
  • Proven ability to manage large scale, complex information,
  • Result-oriented and collaborative with good communication skills,
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, organizational and presentation skills,
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and team building skills,
  • High levels of initiative, confidentiality, and reliability.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • BSc. in Computer Studies, Information Technology or equivalent,
  • ITIL Foundation or Project Management certification will be an asset,
  • 2 years’ work experience in an information technology environment,
  • Ability to successfully manage simple projects from start to end.
