Technical Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY

The individual should assist in the creation of and be responsible for the implementation of strategies supporting the brand’s vision; to accomplish overall business goals for the brand and by extension the division at large.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute detailed promotion plans with clear objectives in accordance with appropriate strategies and tactics vital for the growth of the Division’s product line.
  • Develop and execute plans to improve product performance in the Farm Store.
  • Anticipate customer needs, following up with previous customers to offer reorders or additional services.
  • Effectively handle customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits; follow up to ensure resolution and escalate advanced cases to management as necessary.
  • Liaise with the warehouse re: status of customers’ orders/deliveries and communicating accordingly.
  • Observe divisional policies and procedures re; discounts and approval of special prices.
  • Be involved in the coordination of all promotional activities for Agriculture Division’s attendance/exhibition at agriculture shows, non-trade events and customers’ in-house events.
  • Engage in appropriate non-trade events to generate product awareness and acceptance.
  • Monitor monthly A & P spends based on approved budget and ensure that claims are submitted to supplier within the 1st week of the following month.
  • Prepare monthly stock and sales report for brand and ensure that same is sent off to supplier/principal during the 1st week of the following month.
  • Conduct inventory counts as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  •  A Diploma in Marketing and/or Sales and/or 5 CXC subjects inclusive of English Language and Mathematics or Accounts.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Minimum of three years experience in the sale of FMCG/Agricultural products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of the company’s mission, vision, goals and operating procedures.
  • Consistently exhibit required business ethics and customer service skills.
  • A high level of reliability and responsibility.
  • A reliable motor vehicle.
