Are you the One!! Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill two positions of Team Leader in Berbice and Linden to be attached to our Customer Performance & Quality Department (Installation & Repairs).
Criteria
5+ years of related experience and/or training or;
• the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with Passive Optical Networking (PON) is an asset.
• Background in the electrical and mechanical field is an asset.
• Licensed to drive and operate vehicles (car, van, pick-up) is a requirement.
Accountability Objectives
The Team Leader will be responsible for all Installation, repair, splicing and contracted teams that are assigned
service delivery task for residential and business customers. Team leader is responsible for building high
performance teams to deliver best-in-class customer service. This role involves leadership, coordination, and
technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of Fixed External Network projects and tasks.
MAJOR DUTIES
• Plan, coordinate and monitor installation and repairs projects to ensure timely completion within budget
and quality standards.
• Liaise between Technicians, customers and other relevant departments to ensure seamless execution and installation
of all company related products and services inclusive of TV, cable.
• Coordinate installation and repairs of residential and business products and services when delivering voice
& data using fixed wired or wireless technologies to provide the highest level of service and maximize
customer satisfaction
• Install, coordinate and commission oversight for Cloud Voice and SIP PBX deployment including Customer
LAN interconnects.
• Provide input for annual budget for network operations, considering equipment, software, training, and
maintenance costs.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and equipment used by Technicians and regularly assess tool levels
and reorder supplies as necessary.
• Manage the contracted services, control quality and quantity of work performed, guide the team and carry
the overall responsibility for the task fulfilment and the contractor activities.
• Achieve daily and weekly productivity deadlines per defined targets (KPI’s)stipulated by unit management.
• Ensure cable team is capable of test and troubleshooting line plant facilities using the appropriate tools and
guidelines as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain and adjust the installation /repair calendar as necessary to meet market demands.
• Responds to customer inquiries by expediting corrective actions, escalating and follow-up to a more
appropriate staff/department.
• Meet with stakeholders, subscribers or third parties to address queries, troubleshoot, coordinate removals,
or perform repairs.
• Ensure that the network is being maintained, and resources are being deployed to manage the maintenance
activities.
