The job holder will provide technical and administrative support in the development, implementation and maintenance, of an enterprise-wide Performance Management (PM) system.

  • Manage current systems to monitor/track and review the progress of new hires based on Hire to Confirm Process
  • Create profiles and or assign new hires performance assessment forms (emPerform, HTC or the Manual form)
  • Coordinate training/sensitization sessions aimed at building the competence of Managers/Supervisors and new hires on the use and requirements of emPerform and the HTC processes
  • Follow up with Managers/Supervisors for completion of the HTC Schedules by the stipulated timeframes
  • Prepare reports on the progress of employees on probation
  • Conduct monthly HTC progress meetings with Managers/Supervisors
  • Submit all HTC assessments for placement in the employees’ file
  • Assist with management of the performance management system   
  • Disseminate Performance Management reminder notices by the established timeframes
  • Support contract management function by following up on employee reviews (3 & 6 – month)
  • Develop and maintain to systems to track and ensure the timely submission of appraisals
  • Review goals for SMART methodology and assessments for alignment between evidence and ratings and give guidance and feedback to managers and supervisors
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training and other initiatives to improve performance management competency and the quality of assessments
  • Assist in the design and implementation of initiatives to recognize top performers
  • Assist with setup of all Annual appraisals and assessments within the stipulated timeframes
  • Address all emPerform queries and requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain a database of sub-optimal performers and conduct monthly checks-in to determine if further corrective action is required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources Organizational Development, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Performance Management & educating adult students
  • Working knowledge of Labour Laws and Employment Contracts would be an asset
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern HRM approaches and techniques
  • Specialized training in performance management will be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in the management of performance management systems
  • Knowledge of HR practices techniques.  
  • Knowledge of Industrial Relations best practice
