The Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited invites applications for the position of “TECHNICAL TEAM LEAD”.

JOB PURPOSE: 

This role oversees project planning from concept to completion, ensuring scope accuracy and stakeholder alignment. Responsibilities include drafting designs, managing infrastructure repairs, cost estimates, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes. Regular site inspections are conducted to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for developing project plans from concept to completion.
• Responsible for coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure that project scopes are complete, accurate and requirements are clearly understood.
• Delegates tasks as needed to ensure timely completion of scope documents, material, and cost estimates.
• Provides cost-effective solutions to work activities associated with repairs and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Drafts detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Inspects and monitors sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes or specifications.
• Ensures Inspection of buildings, wiring, plumbing, electrical circuits, sewers, or foundations for structural quality, general safety, or conformance to specifications and codes.
• Reviews and interprets plans, blueprints, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance with requirements and safety regulations.
• Measures dimensions and verifies levels, alignments, or elevation of structures or fixtures to ensure compliance with building plans.
• Responsible for approving cost estimates for renovations or upgrades.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:   

• BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering; Construction Engineering; Project Management or a relevant Degree; OR
• Diploma in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in Civil; Construction or Project Management.
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant Programme would be an asset.

Programmes must be from an accredited institution.

Experience:                                     

• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the construction industry or related field.
• Experience in Port Operations will be considered an asset.

Certificates & Licenses:

• Certificate of Character dated within the last 6 months.

Required Testing:   

The successful candidate will be required to undergo:

• A full Medical Examination (inclusive of substance testing) to establish fitness for the position.
• A Psychometric Assessment.
