Our client in the Food Service /Office environment, is seeking to onboard a Supply Chain Manager. Contract – Full Time Work days - Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Salary Range - TTD$15,000.00 – TTD$18,000.00 per month At times weekends may be required.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of procurement, inventory management, and back of house support. This role requires a strategic thinking with strong leadership abilities to ensure efficient processes and high-quality standards across the supply chain function.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Procurement Management and Reporting:

  • Primary contact for Procurement within the company in close collaboration with the Kitchen and Preparation Manager, Inventory Support
  • Develop and enforce steam lined procurement processes and procedures
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance team to optimize spending and achieve long-term cost savings
  • Provide procurement reports to Management.
  • Forecast company needs and supplies to prevent shortages in collaboration with the Kitchen and Preparation Manager, Inventory Support and the Retail Manager Market Place Retail Store
  • Maintain accurate records and files of all documentation, e.g., purchase orders, invoices, delivery logs.
  • Input data into databases and spreadsheets
  • Ensure data accuracy by cross-referencing with purchase orders, invoices, delivery logs etc for submission to Management

 

Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate and assess existing supplier contracts; initiate improvements and partnerships
  • Negotiate new contracts with vendors to secure advantageous terms and conditions
  • Implement risk management strategies for supply contracts and agreements
  • Collaborate with external vendors to optimize procurement processes
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to confirm order details and delivery schedules
  • Perform update tasks, e.g., blasts and emails as per process
  • Coordinate the inflow and outflow of goods
  • Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external vendors regarding order status, inventory levels and other supply chain matters.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors

 

Purchasing Management

  • Approve purchase orders for necessary goods and services
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries in coordination with the Kitchen and Preparation Manager, Inventory Support
  • Liaise with stakeholders to clarify specifications and expectations.
  • Train and support team members as needed
  • Ensure compliance with receiving processes and protocols (GRNs, POs and Invoices)

 

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Oversee stock management ensuring availability for production and proper storage practices
  • Oversee stock lists and par levels
  • Review daily inventory requirements and place requisitions
  • Oversee compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles in inventory management
  • Conduct quality checks to storage areas to maintain inventory integrity and safety standards
  • Ensure accuracy and upkeep of inventory systems and databases
  • Ensure stock movement is tracked throughout the company
  • Assist in Stock Counts and work with Operations to perform data compilation and analytics

 

Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, particularly those related to food safety and quality
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of food products

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role in the food industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relations
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in procurement and inventory
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP) is a plus.
  • Demonstrates good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Good at negotiating, influencing and conflict resolution.
  • Positive attitude and dependable under pressure
  • Passion for hospitality and creating outstanding customer experiences
  • Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
