Supervisor

 

Main Purpose of Job:

Reporting to the Manager – Retail Operations, the Supervisor will be responsible for effectively managing the day to day running of the shop with the aim of achieving optimum profit by maximizing sales and controlling direct shop expenses, while at the same time supporting the growth of the agencies portfolio.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities in Order of Priority:

  1. Adheres to Solera Policies and Procedures.
  2. To drive and develop a sustainable and profitable Solera business.
  3. To be ultimately responsible for cash handling, cash balances, product variances, banking and associated administration, ensuring that all till operations are carried out in accordance with policies and procedures.
  4. To manage all aspects of stock preparation; ensuring that the shop is sufficiently stocked. Ensuring accuracy of inventories i.e. physical quantities
  5. To demonstrate excellent customer service and promote good practice within the shop and drive the staff to achieve same.
  6. To conduct performance development reviews and staff appraisals ensuring the Manager is advised of any identified training needs.
  7. Ensure all stock and licensing books are up to date.
  8. Processing of e-commence orders.
  9. To meet required performance standards and targets, motivating and supporting shop staff in the achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
  10. To submit monthly comprehensive reports to the Manager on sales comparison and initiatives for next period.
  11. To support the growth of the entire agencies portfolio.
  12. To ensure the shop is maintained at the level suitable for customers to receive an exceptional experience
  13. To inform Manager – Retail Operations or other appropriate manager of any concerns regarding noncompliance, in respect of Scope's policies and procedures, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times
  14. To arrange the necessary change of décor and maintain upkeep of store as necessary.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • First Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Microsoft Suite. (excel, word and power point).
  • 3 -5 years’ Supervisory experience.
  • 3 years' retail or sales experience in a similar field.
  • Ability to work flexible hours – inclusive of Saturdays, Sunday and Public Holidays.
  • A combination of relevant qualifications and experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

 

Required Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of company's products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Health and Safety awareness.
