The opportunity

The Shopper Marketing Advisor is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of marketing strategies of shopper marketing programs for the US and Canadian Distributor Sales and Marketing teams and their customers. This position sits in the Marketing Department reporting directly to the Director, Shopper Marketing.

The role

  • Identify consumer/decorator shopping behavior and key shopping occasions to support the development of marketing campaigns for all Gildan Printwear Brands.
  • Coordinate the development of distributor marketing programs which address shopper needs and increase Gildan’s product portfolio’s shoppability via the distributor path-to-purchase to increase sales.
  • Review/approve deliverables (printed collateral, digital and social media creative, product merchandise plans and open house concepts).
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams as well as external agencies to ensure that sales driven marketing content is delivered on time and on budget. 
  • Foster and/or lead distributor marketing relationships by acting as day-to-day contact with all distributor marketing teams.
  • Coordinate the execution of Gildan Sales and Brand Specialist product awareness activities and ensure that requirements are on strategy and executed in a timely manner. 

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • At least five years' experience in a Marketing environment.
  • Experience working with external vendors would be an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Familiar with the Adobe Suite.
  • Experience with AI tools would be an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Team player.
  • Problem solving skills.
  •  Ability to think creatively.
