Our Client, Telecommunications Services of Trinidad & Tobago (TSTT), is seeking to fill the role of Senior Vice President, Business & Consumer Sales.
JOB PURPOSE
This job is intended to lead the Business and Consumer Sales teams in developing and executing the organisation’s strategy related to product/service development and delivery, customer experience management, and marketing as well as the alignment of the Company’s Commercial convergence strategy. The incumbent is expected to improve user engagement wherever the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (TSTT) has a presence and enhance value through thorough evaluation and understanding of the customer. This job will also be accountable for product/service innovation, pricing, strategy building, and lifetime value management. The job demands innovative commercial leadership among all other leadership/management activities. The management of all divisional budgets, people, and processes is a critical role of this function. The Senior Vice President of Business and Consumer Sales is also expected to achieve the targeted revenue for this group.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Professional advice is provided to the Corporate Leadership Team on all aspects of the organisation’s marketing, customer experience, and sales activities.
- The organisation is represented at community activities to enhance the company’s community profile.
- In pursuit of the organisation’s overall business goals, the Senior Vice President of Business and Consumer Sales is to deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company.
- Effective growth processes and infrastructures are developed and established to institutionalise collaborative ways of working.
- Effective teamwork between the Senior Vice President Business and Consumer Sales and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and the Senior Vice President Business and Consumer Sales and staff is fostered and assessed at intervals to determine the robustness of teamwork in the division.
- The demographic information and sales figures are examined to determine where to focus marketing campaigns.
Customer Experience Management
- Stakeholders are communicated with to keep them informed of the work of the organisation and to identify changes in the current and potential market served/to be served by TSTT.
- Through the utilisation of various channels and strategies, the incumbent delivers the best possible customer experience, and a comprehensive view of the company’s brand.
- All aspects of the customer relationship are explored, analysed, and recommendations made for constant improvement.
- Commercial strategies to impact the operations of the business are implemented to allow the organisation to meet the changing needs of the market and the customer needs.
Risk Management
- Organisation risk is identified and evaluated; strategic, financial, operational compliance, people (Client, staff, management, volunteers) property, goodwill, and image (enterprise-wide risk management) and implement measures to control risks.
- Board of Directors and all other stakeholders are aware of all risks (insurance, etc.) involved in the running of the operations.
Operational Planning and Management
- Operational plan, which incorporates goals and objectives are developed and implemented. This must be aligned with the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Operating objectives and budgets and the creation of an overall system for the efficient delivery of commercial related services are developed and executed.
- Policies are drafted for the approval of the Chief Executive Officer and prepare procedures to implement these policies. The existing policies are to be reviewed with the aim of achieving continual improvement.
Human Resources Management
- Resource requirements are determined for the division in alignment with the strategic plan.
- A positive, healthy, and safe work environment is established in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.
- Performance process for all staff, which includes monitoring the performance of all staff on an ongoing basis and conducting an annual performance review of the business as well as all first-line reports.
Marketing
- The company’s marketing strategies are developed with an emphasis on achieving market penetration and sales growth.
- Creative teams are identified and/or developed for executing advertising, branding, and public relations campaigns or initiatives.
- With particular emphasis on cost-effectiveness, customer acquisition and market demand generation, the Senior Vice President of Business and Consumer Sales will create opportunities for the achievement of overall company results.
Sales
- To achieve aggressive growth objectives the Senior Vice President Business and Consumer Sales assesses, builds, and manages a variety of channels capable of delivering the targeted results. This includes vendors/dealers, direct sales and inside sales.
- Business development strategies and opportunities that are aligned with the company’s growth direction are created and managed to allow for cost management and revenue.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the Social Sciences or Management
- MSc. in Marketing or related field
- A minimum of 10 -15 years’ experience in a similar environment, five (5) of which must be at a senior managerial level.
