Responsible for establishing training capabilities, content, processes, and providing management for the rapid delivery of new and updated training classes and material that properly meet target audience needs and consistently represents the mission and vision of Optimum.

Responsibilites:

Design the training program and supporting services including identifying course content requirement, appropriate delivery mediums, and personnel to deliver training

● Delivering the training program through instructor led, online, blended and documentation driven delivery processes.

● Educating stakeholders on training benefits/requirements and availability of that training

● Overseeing the logistics and processes for ongoing training

● Implementing the quality control and continual improvement processes to maintain training content and delivery mechanisms

Work collaboratively with business leads to ensure training programs and processes are aligned and relevant to critical business priorities.

● Refine onboarding procedures for new hires

● Use critical metrics to identify business gaps and apply training resolutions

● Work closely with department leaders to align training initiatives with company goals

● Track department efficiency using key performance indicators

● Build scalable training systems to enhance operational success

● Collaborate with all departments to document procedures

● Create, communicate, and implement training strategies within each department

● Developing and implementing training plans, including creating curricula, selecting instructors, and setting budgets

● Reviewing course evaluations to assess which topics are most relevant to employee needs or which instructors are most effective in delivering instruction

● Evaluating training programs to ensure they comply with legal requirements and industry standards

● Consulting with senior management to determine strategic goals for training programs

● Overseeing the implementation of training programs on site at client locations or in an offsite setting such as a classroom or conference room

● Conducting research on new training methodologies and technologies to determine their potential applications in the workplace

● Designing training programs that meet specific company goals while also improving employee performance

● Maintaining contact with internal clients to identify training needs

● Coordinating with human resources to hire instructors and set schedules for training sessions.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or related field

● 10+ years experience designing and delivering training programs

● Proven track record of successful program implementation and management

● Experience developing eLearning courses and other digital learning content

● Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies

● Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

● Strong attention to detail

● Impeccable interpersonal skills

● Proactive training approach

● Design, develop, and implement training programs for new and existing employees in a variety of formats

● Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or by analysing performance data

● Create instructional materials such as manuals, handbooks, multimedia presentations, and job aids

● Select and administer training methods such as individual coaching, group instruction, self-study, computer-based learning, and simulations

● Schedule training sessions, arrange for facilities and equipment, and coordinate speakers or instructors

● Deliver training to large groups, lead discussions, and conduct role-playing activities

● Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed

● Manage the budget for the training department and track expenses

● Stay up-to-date on developments in the field of adult education and instructional design

● Supervise a team of training specialists, coordinators, and instructional designers

● Serve as a subject matter expert on company policies and procedures

● Collaborate with other departments to create training programs that support organisational goals.
