Job Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with management to ensure the development and implementation of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Objectives.

 

Key deliverables will include but not limited to: 

  • implementing the activities defined in the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy (translated into a roadmap and budget).

ü  Monitoring the actions defined in the roadmap and measure their effects based on the pillars and key actions below.

  • Reducing our environmental footprint (Reducing Co2 emissions from operations, building on our traditional business lines by seeking to invest in renewable energy, promoting the energy transition in all our markets by developing the distribution of less carbon intensive energy and combating pollution) 
  • Providing a safe and stimulating environment for our team (ensuring the safety of people, supporting the development of their skills and promoting diversity within our teams) 
  • Contributing to a more virtuous society (Operating with integrity, managing our supply chain responsibility and supporting communities in the country in which we operate).

 

ü  Collecting and collating the Company's extra-financial and other data to fulfill reporting requirements (Extra Financial Reporting in Reporting 21annually, Taxonomy Report annually, Reporting Committee Presentation semiannually, Budget CSR semiannually, Solar Database quarterly, CSR Roadmap Report monthly)

ü  Responsible for awareness campaigns (internal and external communication to reinforce the Company’s CSR policies)

ü  Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation and regulations.Collaborating with the HSE team to manage initiatives related to reduction in environmental impact

ü  Collaborating with HSE and HR managers to ensure safety and to maintain the quality of life at work

ü  Collaborating with HR Manager to manage initiatives in the fight against all forms of discrimination

ü  Monitor in collaboration with HRM & HODs, the progress of employees’ skills development

ü  Collaborating with HRM to ensure the successful implementation and participation in local and global community CSR activities/initiatives. 

  • Collaborating with the MD to identify, develop, and implement the company’s community investment projects aimed at local development.
  • Collaborating with marketing to increase public awareness of all CSR activities/ initiatives while ensuring all CSR communications are aligned and greenwashing-free.
  • Responsible for leading all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Audits (Internal or external)
  • Responsible for fostering connections between the company and key stakeholders.

 Skills & Attributes

  • Knowledge of the use of computer systems
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge of the main CSR concepts: (materiality matrices, life cycle analysis, carbon footprint, risk analysis, sustainable procurement, carbon accounting, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the UN sustainable development goals, CSRD, etc.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and report-writing skills
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Possess an organized and methodical approach
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

 Qualifications & Experience

  • At least a First Degree in Business Management or related discipline
  • Master’s degree would be an asset
  • Degree in Energy Transition/Renewable Energy and/or Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) would be an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management
