The senior refrigeration technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
Installation: Install, assemble, and test new refrigeration and HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and related components.
Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical connections.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in refrigeration and HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues.
Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex refrigeration and HVAC system problems.
Refrigerant Handling: Handle and recover refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Electrical Systems: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior technicians.
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of refrigeration and HVAC parts and supplies.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for refrigeration and HVAC system repairs.
System Optimization: recommend upgrades and optimize existing systems for better efficiency.
Reading and interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical diploma in HVAC or refrigeration technology. or Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
Experience with energy-efficient refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability1 to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Experience with various commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems (e.g., walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, rooftop units).
Bilingual is Preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
May work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
May be required to work on-call or overtime, including weekends and holidays.
