MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - CARIBBEAN AGRO INDUSTRIES LIMITED

We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems?  We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team!   In this role, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient operation of our plant and machinery, contributing to the smooth running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct all maintenance work in adherence to safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Program, and Quality Management Policy.
• Monitor and maintain plant systems and equipment as assigned.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
• Assist in overseeing contracted maintenance services as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports on maintenance jobs completed.
• Support the planning of mechanical equipment maintenance activities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) CSEC subjects or a technical certification from a recognized training institute.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Awareness of national electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to make critical decisions.
• Physically fit and willing to perform demanding tasks.
• Experience working with 3-phase current, motor starters, and isolators.
• Competency in basic mechanical tasks such as changing bearings, tensioning belts, and lubricating machinery.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and be available for “call-in” duty.
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Suite applications.
