Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the delivery of an integrated Engineering, Procurement and Project / Construction Management Service to the Client.  In addition to the technical aspects this includes maintaining good business relationships built on a foundation of reliable performance and earned respect. 

 

  • Ensure awareness, understanding and delivery of Contractual obligations set out in the individual service Contracts.
  • Ensure awareness, understanding and compliance with the Business Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for delivering projects safely, maintaining quality, on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all project deliverables.
  • Responsible for ensuring all project deliverables are issued on time.
  • Responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators targets.
  • Responsible for meeting project objectives and goals.
  • Responsible for managing technical, commercial and execution changes that may impact project cost and schedule.
  • Responsible for facilitating meetings, discussions and interfaces which are critical to the delivery of the project and ensuring all Minutes, Actions and notes are recorded per the contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project is managed within the parameters set out by the key global execution standards.
  • Co-ordinate and manage all interfaces required to deliver a complete product to the Client, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, CSU and ORA and third Party Services.
  • Leads in the development and performance management of all aspects associated with the various WBS Scopes of Work from inception through to completion.
  • Develop and ensure accuracy and continuous performance management of baseline schedules, progress measurement and reporting for the various WBS Scopes of Work.
  • Develop and ensure accuracy and continuous performance management of the estimates, expenditure, forecasts and reporting for the various WBS Scopes of Work.
  • Take personal responsibility for promoting and supporting continuous improvement activities within all aspects of the business under their sphere of influence.
  • Actively seek to develop and maintain business relationships based on open and honest communication underpinned by reliable proactive performance, expectation management and earned respect.
  • Proactively facilitate the resolution of cross discipline technical issues.
  • Motivate and develop a high performing team with a ‘be safe’ and ‘mistake free’ culture and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other related job functions as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • PMP Certification would be an asset.
  • Masters Degree would be an asset.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a similar position in engineering/ construction / supervision in oil and gas industry.
  • Competent in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management practices and procedures
  • Foundation skills in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Project Management practices and procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to and supervise others.
  • Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
