Senior Programmer Analyst

In support of the Billing Assurance department, the Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for the timely completion of programming tasks for complex or business-critical applications and processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintains expertise in the latest state-of-the-art techniques and languages as they pertain to the existing and planned processing environments

· Assists in implementing procedures and serves as a resource to expeditiously resolve program-related operating difficulties

· Defines processing logic and translates business requirements into code for the more complex projects required by the business area, employing established programming standards

· Expertise in optimization of Complex queries and building new stored procedures with complex data analysis.

· Supports the communication of project status and the identification and reporting of project issues to project management

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Key Experience/Achievements

a. A Bachelor/MBA degree in Technology Management, Project Management, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or business related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required

b. 6 or more years of business process management

c. Six Sigma experience is a plus

2. Management Skills

a. Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management

b. Ability to organize, plan and execute major projects with minimal supervision

c. Excellent verbal and written communications skills

3. Technical/Functional Competencies

a. Experience working within a formal methodology for software development

b. Knowledge of system development lifecycle

c. Experience in report development utilizing a relational database such as Oracle or Windows SQL server.
