Senior Manager - Clean Fuel Transportation, NGC Green Company Limited - Job ID# 14228

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE

  • This position is accountable for leading the planning, implementation and optimisation of clean fuel transportation initiatives as well as manage the operational activities of the Clean Fuel Transportation Division. 
  • The incumbent will be required to have a deep understanding of sustainable fuel technologies, regulatory requirements and logistics operations to provide the company and the motoring public with clean fuel transportation solutions that are profitable to the company. This includes the safe and reliable operations of all forms of transportation operations, managing the integration of clean fuel technologies and deriving marketing strategies to penetrate the local market.

FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and execute a comprehensive strategy for transitioning transportation solutions to clean fuel alternatives, such as CNG, LNG, biofuels, hydrogen, electric vehicles (EVs), or other sustainable options. 
  • Sets ambitious goals and targets for sales, reducing carbon emissions and operational efficiency and safety in the transportation division of the company. 
  • Cultivates strategic partnerships with technology providers, fuel suppliers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to advance the adoption and infrastructure development of clean fuel transportation. 
  • Collaborates with research institutions, startups, and industry organisations to identify emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in clean fuel technologies. 
  • Stays abreast of relevant regulations, incentives, and policies related to clean fuel transportation at the local, regional, and international levels. 
  • Proactively engage with regulatory agencies and advocacy groups to advocate for supportive policies, funding opportunities, and regulatory frameworks conducive to clean fuel adoption. 
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the transportation team, encouraging experimentation with new technologies, processes, and business models and drive down the costs of clean fuel transportation solutions. 
  • Executes any other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

The minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred 

OR 

  • MBA or a related degree. 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in transportation management, with a focus on clean fuel technologies, sustainability, or related fields of which five (5) years should be at a senior leadership level.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
 

Knowledge of:

  • Transportation management
  • Sustainable energy, Clean fuel technologies, circular economy, Energy Management (including Energy Efficiency)
  • Financial modelling global clean fuel transportation industry trends
  • Types of government-imposed taxes in fuel and transportation industries
  • Phases in the Project Management methodology, economic and investment assumptions and output indicators 
  • Economic models, sensitivity, probabilistic and deterministic analyses
  • Varying types of commercial contracts such as confidentiality agreements, term sheets, Heads of Agreements, Shareholders Agreements, Joint Use and Operating Agreements etc.
  • Environmental regulations and sustainability practices in the transportation sector

 Skills:

  • Team Leadership – proven experience in leading a team, especially in a transportation related industry.
