Senior Claims Associate

reports to the Legal Counsel  

• The incumbent is responsible for delivering exceptional service to stakeholders, assisting with the resolution of claim settlements and ensuring that a complete and accurate evaluation is done of all matters.
• The incumbent will also assist with reviews, negotiations and settlement of claims ensuring process efficiency and enhancing service quality.

The position is based in Kingston. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and organized individual, with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. At minimum, applicants should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in General Insurance would be an asset.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and techniques.
• Sound negotiating and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Excellent time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.]
