Role overview:
Our client, a digital professional services company, is seeking a well-qualified and experienced Senior Business Manager (SBM) to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and operational excellence. This position is designed for a proactive leader who excels in B2B sales and operational management in a software services environment. The SBM’s strategic contributions will support sales growth and business development, ensure efficient day-to-day operations and foster a high-performance culture among the team. This role is an ideal fit for individuals with prior experience as a Senior Sales or Business Development Manager and looking to be part of a fresh and dynamic business in a rapidly growing market.
Primary objective:
To develop and lead business operations with a strong emphasis on sales and revenue growth while ensuring operational efficiency and team alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead sales and business development efforts to identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to achieve seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring all processes align with organisational standards and strategic objectives.
- Supervise and mentor a team, driving engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Manage financial responsibilities, including inputs to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Role deliverables:
- Achieve sales targets and operational KPIs
- Lead all sales and marketing activities and manage and report on the sales pipeline, including proposal writing and crafting and delivering sales presentations.
- Build and leverage strategic relationships with key clients and partners to ensure business growth.
- Manage day-to-day operations and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain a high-performance team through effective talent management and development practices.
Academic qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; an MBA or related Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience and a proven track record in a senior business management role. Experience must include staff supervision and performance management, sales management and business management.
