MAJOR JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Senior Analyst Regulatory Reporting leads and oversees the overall success of the Regulatory Reporting Unit ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plays a lead role in the management of the execution of Regulatory Reporting policies and procedures for all Regulatory Reporting of the Bank and assigned Subsidiaries;
  • Plays a lead role in the execution of the Regulatory Reporting end-to-end processes;
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on regulatory reporting projects and related initiatives;
  • Plays a lead role in the support to stakeholders on regulatory reporting operational issues and/or changes;
  • Participates in change management meetings as part of the regulatory reporting community and attends quarterly Regulatory Reporting meetings; and
  • Contributes to a high-performance team culture.

 

EDUCATION/DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Economics, or equivalent regulatory reporting experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working in areas related to accounting and/or regulatory reporting
  • A good knowledge of a broad range of financial disciplines with a focus on regulatory reporting, accounting policies, application systems and corporate governance
  • An understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements of the legal entities operating within Barbados.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting preparation and analysis within Barbados
  • Experience in Regulatory affairs and maintaining effective professional Regulatory relationships
