Role Overview:
This is a hands-on, senior-level accounting position where you'll actively manage accounting transactions, oversee the billing and revenue recognition processes, and ensure the smooth financial operation of property development projects. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on responsibility, with the potential to grow into the Financial Controller role based on performance and leadership.
Main Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Transactions: Oversee and manage all accounting transactions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Revenue Recognition: Book sales and revenue in compliance with relevant accounting standards, ensuring accurate revenue recognition for completed development works.
- Billing & Tracking: Work closely with the development team to accurately track project costs, billings, and revenue, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the Director of Finance by the 4th business day of each month.
- Month-End Closures: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring compliance with internal deadlines.
- Audit Oversight: Coordinate and support the annual audit process.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Statutory Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory obligations, including VAT, NIS, and other required filings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Experience in the construction industry would be preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in construction accounting is a strong asset.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to independently prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
