Senior Accountant

We seek an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities to guide the finance team effectively.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - ONE YEAR CONTRACT

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and present error-free financial reports.
• Analyse financial information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Identify errors and propose strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant.
• Review and recommend updates to accounting systems and procedures.
• Supervise the Finance department.
• Prepare financial statements and budgets according to established schedules.
• Assist with tax audits and prepare tax returns.
• ain proficiency in VISTA software.
• Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory control.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified accountant or equivalent certification.
• At least five (5) years accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements and reporting.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Awareness of business trends and the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
