Overview: Our\nclient has been operating for over 29 years across the Caribbean as a renowned\nand reliable importer, distributor and marketer of internationally recognized\nbrands. Due to\ngrowth, they are seeking to recruit a professional with the relevant accounting\nexperience to join the management team.

 

Duties\nand Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate\n financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and\n bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements,\n reports, and budgets in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform tax planning, prepare tax\n returns, and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Monitor and analyze financial\n transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in financial audits by\n providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal\n financial controls and procedures.
  • Work closely with management to\n develop financial strategies and improve cost efficiency.
  • Stay updated on financial\n regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain\n warehouse inventory management control systems
  • Develop and implement inventory\n control policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize stock levels\n and minimize losses.
  • Identify and address\n discrepancies, inefficiencies, and risks related to inventory control,\n implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and lead inventory control\n staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and fostering a culture of\n continuous improvement.

 



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,\n Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CPA or equivalent certification\n preferred).
  • Proven experience in accounting\n or financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting\n principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting\n software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical,\n problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and\n accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and\n as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
