Job Objective:
The Sales & Support Specialist – Ophthalmic Equipment will be responsible for promoting, selling, and providing technical support for ophthalmic equipment. This role involves building strong client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction through installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ophthalmic devices.
Main Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
· Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the ophthalmic industry.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
· Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for healthcare professionals.
· Provide technical and commercial guidance to customers regarding product selection.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients.
· Meet and exceed sales targets and company objectives.
· Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market needs.
· Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
Technical Support & Maintenance:
· Install, configure, and calibrate medical equipment (Ophthalmological, Neuro, Dental and ENT) in clinics, hospitals, and offices.
· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
· Diagnoses and troubleshoot technical issues (remote and in-person) .
· Provide user training on proper use and basic maintenance of the equipment.
· Document technical interventions and generate service reports.
· Prepare technical reports on the status and performance of the equipment.
· Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for spare parts and warranty management.
· Adhere to safety regulations and protocols for handling medical equipment.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
· Proven experience in medical device sales, preferably in ophthalmic equipment.
· Technical experience in maintenance and repair of ophthalmic or similar medical equipment.
· Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
· Knowledge of optical, electrical, and mechanical systems.
· Ability to interpret technical manuals and electronic schematics.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
· Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
