Under minimum supervision, perform all functions in conjunction with and under the directive of the Managing Director, including implementing sales and expense budgets, controlling receivables and managing all staff of the Project Sales Department.

MAIN FUNCTIONS (Local & Export Sales):

  • Develop and promote sales of the Company’s range of products locally and regionally.
  • Manage all employees of the Sales Department as well as any other employees that may assist in the sales and distribution of the Company’s products and services.
  • Prepare annual sales budgets and expense targets that will be associated with the selling function of the Company’s existing products and services, as well as new products.
  • Monitor the management and execution of complex projects in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with estimates and that delivery lead times are met.
  • Restructure the sales team so that efficiency and effectiveness is maximized.  This also includes recruitment, orienting and coaching / training of employees.
  • Work with sales team to help build sales plans, to identify new business and seek out incremental opportunities
  • Focus and develop the various product categories as it relates to project sales and marketing.
  • Implement annual sales forecasts so that adequate stocks are maintained; these forecasts are to be reviewed monthly so that any changes are quickly implemented.  Liaise with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that adequate stock is maintained.
  • Maintain/increase sales volumes, product mix and selling prices by monitoring market conditions including competitors, supply/demand, trends and economic indicators.
  • Provide the Management Team with information in relation to prevailing market conditions, information on competitor pricing, products and services and new opportunities or products.
  • Conduct monthly sales meetings to discuss the performance of the sales effort in attaining monthly budgets.
  • Develop action plans with the sales team to fill gaps. Design and implement forms and procedures that will be used in the selling effort.
  • Implement adequate systems or reporting and control such that all relevant personnel are kept informed of achievements relative to targets and of any other relevant matters.
MARKETING FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist Marketing in developing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Research and analyze market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products and other relevant information to assist with marketing strategies.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant Company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements and other marketing-related aids and material.
  • Provide in-depth information to interested clients and act as a representative for Marketing in important buyer meetings.
  • Track all Sales & Marketing data and create detailed written reports and verbal presentations to the Managing Director.
PERSONAL SKILLS:
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels

  • Budget-management proficiency
  • Utilizing judgment and discretion
  • Strong Analytical and management  skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Confident and dynamic personality.
  • Ability to work unpredictable hours including some evenings and weekends, and travel to Company subsidiaries to develop current and new markets in the Caribbean.
  • Familiarity with online content marketing and social media development strategies
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BSc. Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical);
  • MBA preferred;
  • 5+ Years in a Related Field, Minimum 3 Years in a Managerial capacity.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Must own a vehicle in good working condition;
  • Must own a Passport and willing to travel.
