One of our clients in the Food Service Business is seeking to hire a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will actively focus on driving new sales leads and managing existing clients .
Key Accountabilities:
Sales
• Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, customers, growth areas, trends in
consumer tastes and wishes, products.
• Develop strategies to increase brand portfolio and awareness
• Develop strategies to drive sales based on unique or specific customer needs
• Forecast and inform sales targets for third party processing, corporate, walk in and online, and
distributor sales
• Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives and the achievement of sales targets.
• Maintain an understanding of potential markets and trends for identifying new opportunities and new
products
• Develop quotes, proposals and contracts and engage in negotiations.
• Maintain a network and knowledge of companies' activities and milestones to identify corporate sales
opportunities
• Maintain cordial and healthy relationship with culinary and retail distributor. Understand and forecast
their needs, including requirements for for future container orders; ensure products can be collected
as quickly as possible, communicate price changes and promotions, collect data about their biggest
sales and clients
• Ensure all products are uploaded to and accurate on website, including sales and promotions and that
sales and promotions are removed upon their expiry
Customer Relationship Management
• Contact potential clients/buyers to establish rapport and set up meetings/ invite to try new products
• Continuously seek to establish and build relationships with new clients
• Create opportinunities for improving relationships with and servicing existing customers
• Proactively engaging clients on new developments of the company’s products. Attend conferences,
meetings and industry events.
• Prepare presentations and create sales displays
General Management
• Provide feedback to and report on performance to management
• Work closely with Director on devising sales strategies
• Participating in monthly meetings to provide insight on sales, marketing and communication strategies
• Informs kitchen of new, large orders. Liaises between kitchen and client regarding order including
time frame, labelling, delivery and payment terms
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, finance or related field.
• Post graduate qualifications in Finance, Marketing or a related discipline would be an asset.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Senior role in sales and marketing.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in the customer service field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Power Point, Excel
