This role requires a dynamic individual who will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing marketing strategies and sales operations to increase market share, foster customer relationships, and enhance brand visibility within the sector.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES

 

  1. SALES LEADERSHIP
    1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand market share for Productin both new and existing markets.
    2. Account Management: Identify and engage with key accounts, distributors, and partners. Cultivate long-term relationships with customers to drive revenue growth and brand loyalty.
    3. Sales Team Support: Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and resources necessary to succeed. Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
    4. Lead Generation: Work closely with marketing to drive lead generation and conversion strategies. Collaborate on targeting specific customer segments and developing outreach campaigns.
    5. Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customer needs and pain points, using this insight to guide product development and sales tactics.
    6. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance
  2. MARKETING LEADERSHIP:
      1. Brand Strategy: Develop and execute the brand positioning, messaging, and differentiation for Productproducts in alignment with company goals.
      2. Content Development: Oversee the creation of sales collateral, product brochures, presentations, case studies, white papers, and digital content (website, social media, etc.) to support marketing and sales efforts.
      3. Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the Productindustry. Use this data to adjust both sales and marketing strategies.
      4. Product Launches: Manage the go-to-market strategy for new Productproducts, including developing sales and marketing materials, training the sales team, and leading product launch events.
      5. Customer Feedback & Satisfaction: Gather customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and marketing approaches. Ensure a customer-centric approach to all marketing activities.
  3. COLLABORATION AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS:
    1. Collaboration with R&D/Product Development: Work closely with the R&D and product development teams to communicate market needs, provide insights on product improvements, and ensure alignment between product capabilities and customer expectations.
    2. Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with other departments such as supply chain, customer service, and finance to ensure that customer needs are met efficiently and effectively.
    3. Training: Lead internal training sessions for sales teams to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and market understanding.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum qualification - Degree in Chemistry from a globally accredited tertiary institution
  2. Masters degree in chemistry or associated field will be an asset
  3. Proficency in Spanish will be an asset

 

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales,
  2. Experience in product management in chemicals, or manufacturing sectors will be an asset.
  3. Proven track record in sales leadership, managing CAPEX sales, and achieving sales targets.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, customer insights, and sales performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Excellent understanding of customer needs and the ability to tailor sales and marketing strategies to meet those needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficient in CRM software
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Problem Solver: Ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges and meet customer demands.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific standards, certifications;
  • Global Mindset: Experience in international sales and marketing, with an understanding of global market dynamics.
