SALES EXECUTIVE

The incumbent is expected to deliver continuous growth of the revenue and profitability for the group of companies. Collaborate with customers and suppliers to build and maintain a win/win relationship between the Division and each customer.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 3 CXC/GCE O’Level. Must include Maths and English.
  • Certificate/Diploma in Sales or marketing an asset.
  • Any qualification in Business Management will be considered asset.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in the sales of industrial products.
  • Experience in the selling/marketing of Industrial Safety Products and/or Janitorial Equipment and Supplies will be a definite asset.
  • Own a vehicle in good working condition.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Dynamic and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including WORD/EXCEL/POWERPOINT.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent selling and interpersonal skills.

 

KEY DUTIES

 

  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to gather and analyse information skilfully.

  • Ability to provide management with competitive information.
  • Liaising with warehouse personnel to ensure that the deliveries of goods to customers are done in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with promotional activity.
  • Establish and manage sound relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing.
  • Continuously seek out new business opportunities using various lead generation methods.
  • Submission of bi-weekly/monthly reports as requested by Sales Manager.
  • Handle customer concerns/complaints and billing enquiries with a high degree of courtesy, professionalism and efficiency.
  • Manage customers account within the limits of the credit facilities offered to them in accordance with company policy. Collection of payments, delivery of statements/invoices and credit notes.
  • Continuously maintain a working knowledge of all company products, service, pricing, promotions, etc.
  • Participate in stock counts.
  • Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operation of the company.
  • Must be able to work in a flexible environment and with little supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, able to work independently, multi-task, problem solve.
  • Have a passion for serving customers and for adding value to their business.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • To create correspondence(s) where needed
  • Provide reports on services executed
  • To provide procurement department with timely pricing and contracts including terms, warranties, delivery dates, etc.
  • To continually analyse the market based on competitive information and statistical data.
  • To assist the General Manager from time to time as required
    • Ø Any other related tasks assigned by management

 

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Following all HSE rules at all times.
  • Stopping any work that they recognize as being unsafe and reporting it to their direct Manager, Human Resources and or CEO.
  • Reporting all accidents and incidents they are involved in or witness to their direct Manager, Human Resources and or CEO as soon as they reasonably can.
  • Using all equipment in the work place as designed and with design operating safety features.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, treating everyone in a cordial and direct fashion.
  • Becoming familiar with the HSE procedures required to perform their jobs safely.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all applicable legislations and site regulations.
  • Attending and actively participate in scheduled HSE training meetings, toolbox talks and HSE programmes.
  • Performing all work in a safe manner.
  • Using all appropriate PPE in a correct manner.
  • Using all Safe Systems of Work available. For example, Job Safety Analysis (JSA's), Permits, Risk Assessment, Checklists etc.
  • Observing good housekeeping practice.
  • Reporting the taking of any medication while on the work place to their direct Manager, Human Resources and or CEO.
