Business Development Executive

Objective:           Building profitable sales of the company's products and services to new and existing customers while ensuring continued and sustained customer satisfaction.

Report to:  Director

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Respond to questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company products and services Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests;
  • Consult with customers after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales;
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports;
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders. Preparing and delivering persuasive sales presentations to potential clients. Conducting site visits when needed;
  • Prospect and lead generation of sales; Identify potential customers and target markets; Generate leads through various channels, such as cold calls, emails, and networking; Conduct market research to discover new opportunities;
  • Plan, assemble, and stock product displays, or make recommendations regarding product displays, promotional programs, and advertising;
  • Collaborate with the sales team and colleagues to achieve sales targets and collective goals;
  • Sales process management - management of activities and processes relating to the effective planning, coordination, implementation, control, and evaluation of an organization's sales performance;
  • Package materials or products;
  • Participate in training and development efforts;
  • Reporting on all aspects of job, as required;
  • Assist in arranging delivery of goods or services, where necessary;
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area and comply with all safety and health policies and procedures; and
  • Perform any other related functions consequential and incidental to the position and as directed by the Manager or Director.

Customer and personal service - principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction;

  • Sales and marketing - principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems;
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar;
  • Mathematics – arithmetic and its application;
  • Working with computers - using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data and process information.
  • Administrative and clerical - administrative, office and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, note taking, designing forms and other office procedures;

Qualification

  • 5 CSEC passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in same or similar work.
  • Computer Literate
  • Minimum AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector or better.
