Stores Supervisor is responsible for contributing towards the timely and cost-effective inventory management, to facilitate the material and supply needs, through proper documentation, reporting, analyzing, and auditing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain proper stock management systems.
Set stock levels (Min/Max) based on average monthly usage.
Review and update order quantities based on average monthly usage.
Review and update reorder levels based on history and lead times.
Track stock movements and analyze unusual trends or movements.
Check quality of goods and monitor spoilage.
Oversee the distribution of goods.
Perform inventory count once per month at month end.
Update stock on Peachtree system.
Develop knowledge of historical trends.
Obtain knowledge of substitute products.
Develop & maintain coding system.
Track physical location of stock.
Maintain accurate costing and valuation of inventory.
Establish security to eliminate stock losses.
Manage stocktaking and updating of stock files.
Maintain close liaison with Purchasing Officer and Managers.
Inspects kitchens, workrooms, and equipment for cleanliness and order.
Takes inventories of china, silverware, and glassware.
Receive goods, ensuring that what is ordered is received.
Issue goods to different departments on the FIFO bases.
Check stock levels and order accordingly.
Follow up on outstanding orders to ensure that goods are delivered on a timely basis.
Enter receipts and issues on a daily basis.
Pack the goods which are received during the day.
Prepare monthly/ad hoc inventory reports.
Other duties as assigned by Management/Supervisor.
