Summary:

The Sanitation Janitor performs daily assigned/scheduled detailed cleaning of the Warehouse and Distribution Centre Storage rooms. He is responsible for maintaining the warehouse and designated work areas and ensuring they are kept clean and orderly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs daily heavy cleaning duties, such as removing dust, debris, and ice build-ups from floors, washing walls and ceilings, removing broken glass from floors and storage bins, cobwebbing, addressing other housekeeping-related issues observed in the warehouse’s dry and cold storage rooms, and using heavy machinery such as a pallet rider to empty large rubbish bins.

· Cleans building floors by spray or foam washing, sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing.

· Strips, seals, and polishes floors.

· Cleans spills and other hazards using sponges and squeegees.

· Cleans furniture, washes sink, shutters, and large garbage bins.

· Removes dust from walls, racks, products, machines, and equipment.

· Operates power cleaning tools (i.e., floor scrubber, buffers).

· Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and products.

· Effectively completes all other activities as delegated by the supervising authorities.

Skills and Specifications

· Follows quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operating methods.

· Flexible and willing to work hours and days based on the demands of the job (e.g., early mornings, late evenings/nights, and weekend days).

· Should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle stressful situations.

· Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 50 pounds.

· Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods in dry and cold conditions.

· This role will require bending, stooping, twisting, and some overhead lifting of various weights.

· This role requires repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists.

· Ability to work within the Company Policies.

· Effectively completes all other activities as delegated by the supervising authorities.

Required Qualifications

· At least a High school graduate and a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
