Route Dispatch Officer - Trelawny

Jamaica’s leading manufacturer and distributor of food and beverages, seeks to hire a Route Dispatch Officer.

The Route Dispatch Officer primarily assumes the responsibility for dispatching pick tickets and ensuring that each driver is assigned a load for delivery

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispatch delivery routes and provide critical information to Drivers and Sales Associates throughout the shift
• Expedite or escalate urgent delivery requests
• Maintain and update dispatch logs
• Optimize the productivity of Drivers, trucks, and routes by ensuring that each truck is assigned the most efficient load
• Deliver a high-level of service and responsiveness at all times to customer
• Communicate accurate information to the Sales Team pertaining to customer accounts & order status
• Any other duties assigned within the scope of the job

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum five (5) CSEC passes required including Mathematics/ Principles of Accounts and English
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Ability to work in a team environment and on initiative
• Process and detail oriented
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends
• Ability to multi-task and meet scheduled deadlines

• The job is based on a minimum forty-hour workweek; however, the nature of the company’s business will require flexible working hours during the week and possibly on weekends and public holidays.
• The working environment dictates that the incumbent must be able to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
• Standard office environment with occasional outdoor activity
