Restaurant Manager

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring an efficient operation, maintaining high productivity, quality and customer service standards.  You will over see the day-to-day business operations and should have proven experience of leading and managing large teams.    You will be responsible for profitability by increasing sales and controlling costs, while maintain guest satisfaction. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Drive operational programs and initiatives, actively collaborate, organize and support implementation at the restaurant level.
  • Execute operational plans for assigned restaurant, manages and measures results, identify and implement best practice.
  • Strive to continually improve customer satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of assigned restaurants.
  • Work in conjunction with the other Restaurant Managers across the Big Banana Group to implement standards that deliver the ultimate guest experience.
  • Lead and manage the restaurant supervisors and work closely with Head Chef, ensuring the effective supervision of all restaurant team members.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate high employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.
  • Oversee food quality - ensure that all food produced meets with developed standards at all times, to include presentation, preparation, and portion control.
  • Work with the corporate management and operation team to develop, evaluate and monitor forecasts and budgets.
  • Implement, monitor and control cost systems – inventory, purchasing.
  • Maintain profitability margin as developed and agreed with Operations Manager.
  • Work with directors to develop effective marketing campaigns for the restaurant.
  • Develop and conduct effective sales and customer service training for all restaurant staff. 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 year’s experience as restaurant manager in a similar level restaurant
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service management
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software and Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel a must)
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Financial management skills
  • BA degree in Business Administration or similar degree 

Please note that due to the nature of our restaurant operations, the successful candidate will be required to work various shifts, weekend and public holidays as business needs dictate.
