Restaurant Manager

Job Overview:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Recruit, train, conduct performance appraisals and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Assist in the development and management of budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing profitability through effective inventory and staff management.
  • Collaborate on promotional activities and marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained, menu offerings are well-prepared, presented beautifully, and aligned with customer preferences.
  • To review and approve employee roster. 
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and financial performance, ensure adequate inventory levels for both front as well as back of the house and providing regular reports to upper management.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and communication throughout the dining experience.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in restaurant management or similar role within the hospitality industry and certification from a recognized hospitality school will be an asset.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software (loyverse, ubunto,restaurant pro express v17).
  • Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences.

  • Requires flexibility to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physical demands may include standing for long periods and occasional lifting of heavy items.
