Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Researcher to join our client in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance, maintaining, and developing quality assurance frameworks, and monitoring quality control processes. The Researcher will analyze trends, prepare high-complexity reports, and manage data collection efforts to support strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, banking regulations, and industry best practices.
  2. Research Management
    • Conduct in-depth research to support operational and strategic goals.
    • Manage the research process, including data collection, documentation, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  3. Data Analysis & Trend Examination
    • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations through detailed reports to senior management.
  4. Reporting
    • Prepare high-quality, complex reports tailored to various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and internal leadership.
    • Ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational goals.
  5. Quality Monitoring
    • Oversee quality control processes to ensure consistent adherence to established standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of documentation and processes to maintain quality and compliance.
  6. Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with compliance, risk management, and operational teams to enhance efficiency and uphold quality standards.
    • Provide expertise in research methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
    • Serve as the official liaison on behalf of the organization.
    • Implement, coordinate, and monitor a compliance program for the organization, ensuring policies and procedures are in place.
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain records of suspicious transactions/activities reported by staff to appropriate parties, receive and review these reports, and ensure proper documentation.
    • Additional Duties: Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., ACAMS, Certified Compliance, Ethics Professional, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Quality Management or other)
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in a research-focused or quality assurance role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
    • Proven track record in managing quality assurance frameworks, analyzing data trends, and preparing detailed reports.

Key Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, SPSS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
