Repairs and Maintenance Assistant

Driving the 5th Wheel Truck and transport chassis /containers for maintenance to/from the port to the premises. Repair and/or replace all punctured/damaged tires in a timely manner. Ensure that there are at least eight (8) mounted tires on rims available for a quick change at all times.

• Driving the 5th Wheel Truck and transport chassis /containers for maintenance to/from the port to the premises.
• Repair and/or replace all punctured/damaged tires in a timely manner.
• Ensure that there are at least eight (8) mounted tires on rims available for a quick change at all times. 
• Assist with the equipment evaluation, analyze and test all vehicular and chasis equipment to determine the nature and extent of the repairs needed.
• Assist the Welder in any fabricating/welding and/or technical repairs/maintenance to chasis, trailers, vehicles, equipment and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to at all times. 
• Assist with all routine maintenance to department vehicles such as changing oil, checking batteries, brake fluid etc. as per maintenance schedule.
• Assist with identifying any supplies/spare parts and/or materials needed for the maintenace, repairs, and servicing of all chasis fleet, vehicles and other equipment in St. Kitts-Nevis.
• Follow company guidelines with regards to acceptable conduct when dealing with shop personnel, drivers, customers while always projecting imagine quality and professionalism.
• Comply with all established company policies and procedures.
• Observe and adhere to the operating working hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned.
