Repair Service Technician

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Central (Standard Office Environment Position)
  • Warehouse (Standard Warehouse Environment Position)

 

 

PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • Responsible for the repair of all damaged electronics and/or appliances in the warehouse. 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all mechanical and electrical repair work and trouble shooting of appliances and electronics returned by the members.

AS AN EMPLOYEE OF PRICESMART, THE INCUMBENT OF THIS POSITION HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO:

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Trade School.  Degree preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the technical maintenance field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment and forklifts.
  • Proficient in Spanish and/or English languages (verbal and written).
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Fast learner with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Must be articulate.

OTHER TASKS:

  • Ensures that all defective items and requested parts are entered in the NSI inventory.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Assistant Club Manager to review procedures, parts requests and NSI inventory.
  • Prepares and submits request of tools and spare parts for repairs using the Parts Request form.
  • Supervises and secures equipment, fixtures, spare parts and tools.
  • Weekly updates on items repaired to avoid duplicates, closeout work orders as well as items sold to salvage to cancel requests and avoid ordering unnecessary parts.
