The role of the Engineer will play a crucial part in improving manufacturing processes, designing new systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality production standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and systems to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Analyze production methods, equipment, and processes for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical support for production and troubleshooting during the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, including automation, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
  • Work with vendors to source materials, components, and equipment that meet production needs.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of processes and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
  • Lead or assist in new product development and production scaling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience; experience in the manufacturing sector will be an asset
  • Hands-on experience in process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems will be an asset.
