OVERVIEW:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Clients’ Risk Management function is expanding operations at JESS to support the RM Center of Expertise process area. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back-office operations.

The Clients’ RM Personal Independence Center of Expertise process area is a centralized unit of professionals responsible for streamlining access to centralized, high-demand capabilities geared at facilitating speedy and continuous improvement across the business. They have contracted “KPMG Jamaica Expanded Support Services” (KJESS), which operates from the Kingston office, to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).  The Client’s Personal Independence function is also responsible for providing partners and professionals with guidance on personal independence requirements as it relates to their financial relationships.

JOB SUMMARY: 

The JESS RM Senior Associate is responsible for performing various task in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Personal Independence team, including but not limited to, supporting the Clients’ Independence processes by providing data analysis and business intelligence visualizations for the purpose of providing insightful reports for the purpose monitoring and maintaining the applicable independence rules and regulations across the business. The Senior Associate will also enable efficiency in disseminating information requiring action and provide leadership reporting and presentations. In addition, this role will be required to multitask on several assignments and prioritize according to timelines as issued by the Client.


The JESS RM Senior Associate reports primarily to the JESS RM PI COE Manager but will also take direction from other Independence Client team members who are accountable for supported work.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Extract, transform, clean, and validate data from various datasets
• ​Develop efficient data models, datasets, data pipelines
• ​Analyze data using statistical techniques and data mining methods
• ​Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to uncover insights and opportunities
• ​Create reports, dashboards, visualizations, presentations
• ​Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions
• ​Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance data accuracy and completeness
• ​Be proficient with KPMG Personal Independence policies, stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization
• ​Create, execute, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• ​Cross-train team members
• ​Assist with special projects, as needed
• ​Perform multiple tasks including time sensitive requests

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an analytical field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related
• ​3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business and financial analysis requiring strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• ​3+ years of experience in building reports and dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or equivalent
• ​3+ years of experience creating data pipelines Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Talend, Informatica, or equivalent
• ​3+ years of experience working with databases such as Azure, MS SQL Server, or equivalent
• ​2+ years of experience in data manipulation and analysis using Python, or equivalent
• ​1+ years of experience in a client-facing role
• ​Excellent attention to detail and experience testing accuracy and completeness
• ​Effective communication skills
• ​Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
• ​Ability to prioritize own work and meet deadlines.
