Primary objective of the job: 

To monitor Business Risk controls and alarms, carry out initial investigations to determine the nature of issues, escalating to and following up with relevant teams where necessary to minimize future exposure. Monitor Revenue Assurance reconciliations and Fraud Mitigation controls while identifying fraud trends by analyzing accounts and transaction patterns.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor Revenue Assurance reconciliations and Fraud Mitigation controls
  • Track and monitor compliance with internal control processes
  • Measure, monitor and report risks on an ongoing basis
  • Monitor risks in the current business using KPI’s and dashboards
  • Identify instances of fraud and investigate fraudulent activities
  • Monitor Business Risk controls and alarms, carry out initial investigations to determine the nature of issues, /escalating to and following up with relevant teams where necessary to minimize future exposure
  • Monitor Revenue Assurance reconciliations and Fraud Mitigation controls
  • Track and investigate Revenue Assurance reconciliations and Fraud Alarms that fall outside of acceptable KPI’s and/or thresholds to determine the root cause of issues
  • Provide periodic reports and records of issues along with tracking status of recommendations to address
  • Identify fraud trends by analyzing accounts and transaction patterns
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved to relevant teams for follow-up investigation and resolution within assigned KPI timelines to incident closure
  • Monitor Business Risk controls and alarms, carry out initial investigations to determine the nature of issues, /escalating to and following up with relevant teams where necessary to minimize future exposure
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Fraud Management Lead and business units to identify and understand the risks embedded in the operation
  • Monitor identified these risks in the current business using KPI’s and dash boards
  • Conduct policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounts, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related discipline. Preferred: Risk Management certification
  • 1-2 years’ previous experience in a Risk Analyst role
  • Strong knowledge of the banking or financial services market
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
