Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ocho Rios for a Quality and Development Manager. The Quality and Development Manager will be responsible for the improvement and implementation of programs and/or quality models to ensure that company standards are implemented and maintained in accordance to Palace Resorts.

The suitable candidate should possess the following:

Duties & Requirements:

• Support the dissemination of standards program, culturalization and awareness.
• Generate campaigns of various environmental activities and events.
• Plan and prepare materials for all courses in the annual audit plan.
• Register ratings assessments for quality audit and standard compliance.
• Review and update of standards.
• Audit areas according to the Check List of the different departments to verify compliance with the standards established in Palace Resorts.
• Do internal Audits for Rooms, Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Stewarding specifically (Standards, Hygiene).
• Facilitate compliance agenda departmental programs familiarization.
• Develop the necessary reports and audits tours/reviews.
• Comply with the plans and training programs presented in relation to quality and standards
• The review of recurring errors of the property as follow-up of its results.
• Ensure that the areas are updated based on the recommended changes based on the indicated standards

Qualification and Experience:

• At least three (3) years’ work experience in the same or a similar capacity
• Bachelor’s Degree in BA Business Administration, Tourism, Psychology, Pedagogy and Communication.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Advance computer skills: Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe flash, Adobe Air, Prezi.
• Must be knowledgeable in checking quality of goods and in working with supply schedules
• Knowledge in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) (People Soft, Chamilo, Oracle, Opera, SAP,)
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management.
• Knowledge in International certifications Earth Check, AAA.
• Auditing of foods and standards (HACCP).
• Audit Assessment and Systems 
• Budgeting strategies
