Purchasing Officer

PURCHASING OFFICER

Delta Supply Company Limited is seeking a Purchasing Officer who is well-organized, with a keen eye for detail. He/ she is responsible for purchasing equipment, related parts, accessories and consumables deemed important to the achievement of the business objectives and expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide accurate pricing to all departments in alignment with set guidelines for company growth and profitability.
• Calculate accurate costing of inventory items and breakdown of all charges associated with each shipment.
• Ensures weekly inventory reviews are conducted across assigned product categories and are done in alignment with business needs.
• Make relevant purchases based on outlined procurement best practices and profitable purchasing strategies to achieve maximum profit margins.
• Maintain adequate stock levels for all suppliers within your portfolio.
• Provide estimated customs duties and charges for all shipments in transit on a weekly basis to the Accounts Department.

Successful candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a senior buyer, or similar role in procurement, supply chain, or related field.
• A highly developed analytical and organizational skill, with a team-oriented mindset.
• Effective time management & negotiation skill
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationships management (CRM) software applications such as Sage 300.
