To provide accounting services for the purchasing unit at Central Stores

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Maintain and update departmental records on database as required.

 

  • Obtain and disseminate order status information.

 

  • Assist in the preparation and facilitation of non-pharmaceutical tenders.

 

  • Assist in maintaining a supplier reporting system for delivery of supplies.

 

  • Assist in processing of supplier invoices for prompt payment.

 

  • Assist in the sourcing and selecting of suppliers for Ad-Hoc purchases.

 

  • Maintain a “Loan to Suppliers” register to ensure the timely repayment of such loans.

 

  • Prepare and maintain a supplier invoice status register.

 

  • Prepare reports and maintain files on the EPI products

 

  • Prepare reports and maintain files on supplies to Government Agencies

 

  • Prepare batches of Purchase Orders for authorisation

 

  • Perform any other related duties as necessary

 

  • Maintain a Supplier Performance Database

 

 

 


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

  • Minimum five (5) O’ Level Subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

 

  • Advanced Certificate – C.I.P.S. will be an asset.

 

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a supply-chain management environment.

 

  • Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

 

 

Special Skills and Knowledge:

 

 

  • Considerable knowledge of purchasing principles and techniques.

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

  • Must have a high degree of confidentiality.

 

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

 

  • Competence in use of word processing and accounting systems.

 

  • Basic knowledge of contracting systems and procedures

 

  • Working knowledge of basic inventory management processes.

 

 

SALARY:

$5,717.00 per month
