About the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Property Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Tryall Golf & Beach Club's master planning, property and infrastructure development, and maintenance. This role encompasses asset management, project oversight, landscaping, security, and the development of a member-funded project management service. The Director will ensure resilient, cost-effective operations, working closely with various departments and the Board’s Real Estate and Infrastructure committees. A key focus will be implementing sustainable practices to minimize the club's environmental impact.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Master Planning: Developing and executing strategic master plans for property development and infrastructure.
- Committee Coordination: Collaborating with the Real Estate and Infrastructure Committees to ensure alignment and effective execution of plans.
- Construction & Building Management: Overseeing all construction projects and managing the maintenance of all buildings and facilities.
- Real Estate (Lot) Sales and Development: Facilitating lot sales and guiding development projects to enhance property value.
- Infrastructure Resilience: Delivering a long-term strategy for infrastructure resilience, including power production, renewable energy, water management, data, and road upgrades.
- Asset Maintenance: Maintaining all property assets, including grounds, vehicles, buildings, golf course, and machinery.
- Long-Term Strategy: Developing a comprehensive long-term strategy to meet the evolving needs of both the club and its member-owned villas.
- Loss Prevention Oversight: Managing the security and Health & Safety (H&S) standards throughout the property.
- Team Leadership: Developing and managing a high-performing team and engaging out-sourced team/services with impeccable project management skills.
- Stakeholder Communication: Ensuring effective communication and engagement across all stakeholder groups.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and results-oriented leader with a proven track record in property development and infrastructure management, possessing exceptional communication and team-building skills.
Education, Experience and Required Skills:
- Minimum of a BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in a similar senior position and context.
- Proven experience executing master planning and managing diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive project management and development experience.
- Deep understanding and demonstrated commitment to meeting all relevant regulatory (legislation, codes measures, licenses/permits, standards) compliance and best-in-class practices for safety, environment, building and infrastructure development and maintenance, well and water management, coastal and ocean-based tourism including, inter alia, NEPA, NRCA, WRA, BCA and all environmental management and protection legislation.
- Strong electrical knowledge and prior experience working with renewable power systems.
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and create long-term, sustainable solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for developing talent.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
