Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects from initial scope to completion. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position reports to the Director of Engineering  and requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate and lead project teams and contractors.,

 
Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

•   Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects up to a value of $1 million TTD. This will include handling multiple project at one time in various stages.
• Interacting with contractors and negotiating best terms of contract for the hotel.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Identifying the resources equipment and technical expertise needed for all projects
• Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Ensures reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
• Complete various additional operational tasks and assignments as needed.

• Advanced knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installations
• Tertiary Level Qualification in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years working at a senior level in project engineering/project management
• Demonstrated competence in Project Management
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Effective budgeting and performance management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Experience in managing large CAPEX projects would be considered an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Computer literate with capability in MS Office and related communication tools.
• Time management skills.
