With a reputation for excellence and a portfolio of high-profile projects, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Drawing Office Manager to lead our team of skilled professionals. 

 

Role Overview: 

The Drawing Office Manager will oversee the management, coordination and delivery of technical drawings, ensuring that all project deliverables meet quality standards and timelines. This pivotal role bridges communication between the internal office design team which include engineers, technicians and project directors, ensuring seamless execution of projects from inception to completion. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project Coordination: Oversee the scheduling and distribution of drawing deliverables, ensuring alignment with project milestones and client expectations. 
  • Quality Control: Review and approve technical drawings to ensure accuracy, adherence to specifications, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. 
  • Process Optimization: Implement and maintain efficient workflows, design protocols, and quality assurance measures in the drawing office. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with KSP office structural engineers, project managers, and technical staff to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements. 
  • Technology Management: Stay updated on industry advancements and oversee the implementation of new software or tools to enhance productivity. 
  • Recording and Reporting: Record times spent on projects and prepare progress reports on drawing deliverables and resource allocation for issue to senior management. 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Active seeking of and assistance with preparation of proposals for clients
  • Assistance with the tracking and calculation of invoices, VAT payments and other administrative duties in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience: 

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. 

- Minimum 10 years of experience in a drawing office, with 3 years in a managerial role. 

- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).  Proficiency in these is not a requirement

- Basic understanding of structural engineering principles and technical drawing standards. 

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

- Effective document control skills.
