Production and Maintenance Manager

Oversee production and maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, quality control, efficiency, and safety. Supervise staff, manage resources, track performance, optimize processes, and handle machinery upkeep.

Production Responsibilities

1. Ensure that the daily and scheduled cleaning of the lines and their sections are properly executed, before production workers leave. ex. Mixing bin, racks cleaned, moulds properly cleaned, below conveyor belts, hole emptied, below silver rollers cleaned, cutting line cleaned etc.
2. Supervise/ Ensure Pre-production checks – ex. Rollers gapped correctly, side pieces correctly positioned, cutting carriage aligned etc.
3. Allocate resources, and manage production timelines to meet delivery deadlines
4. Work with quality control personnel, Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards
5. Optimize resource usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and adhering to budget constraints.
6. Supervise staff, leading and motivating production teams, assigning tasks/targets, providing training, and addressing performance issues.
7. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of production machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
8. Monitor staff to ensure duties are being carried out effectively & efficiently during/post production
9. Ensure adherence to all company safety regulations and procedures Ex. Wearing of respirators
10. Performance monitoring, ex. tracking production metrics (output, scrap rates, efficiency) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
11. Problem-solving, Identifying and resolving production issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
12. Suggest strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
13. Collaborate with other departments (sales, management, quality control) to ensure smooth production flow and meet customer requirements.
14. Ensure production starts on time, and ends when target requirements have been achieved
